As the phrase goes, "April showers bring May flowers..." Emerging singer-songwriter Corinne McKnight embraces her angelic voice with delicate country\pop single "Pretty Flowers," available now on all major digital platforms. McKnight will make her television debut with a performance of the single on Today in Nashville this summer, June 17th.

"I wrote this song while I was taking Lyric Writing at Belmont [University] about a year ago," recalls McKnight, who graduated this May. "The assignment was to try and find song titles/ideas from movies. We watched Forrest Gump in class and I remember Forrest saying, 'pretty flowers' in his undeniable voice and I just loved that. Nick Lavery brought the song to life in the beginning stages and Zachary Manno produced the final recording."

"Pretty Flowers" follows McKnight's fourth compilation, Full of Stars (2018), that  included Spotify-featured singles "Reckless" and "Hi-Lo," on Woman Crush and New in Nashville curated playlists. The EP was recognized as a "musical gem" by Fierce & Fabulous Revolution and exemplified the songstress' creative depth and variety of emotional elements.

Although Corinne McKnight describes herself as songwriter first and foremost, her distinctive vocal style has instinctively pushed her into the spotlight. Originally from Madison, Wisc., McKnight's lyrical ability was evident at the age of twelve when she was involved in a program called the Artist Development Network (ADN) that paired aspiring songwriters with Nashville's top industry professionals for critique and  shadowing. Immediately following the experience, McKnight taught herself the guitar to better enhance her talent. At the age of fourteen, McKnight released her debut album Surprised Me comprised of all original songs, followed by Take My Hand two years later. Wisconsin's Local Sounds Magazine praised McKnight's material as "exquisitely catchy” and “downright lovable". With the success of her sophomore album, she was a finalist in the Madison Area Music Awards (MAMAs) and was nominated for Country Performer of the Year and Country Album of the Year in her home state of Wisconsin.

In the summer of 2015 and fresh out of high school, McKnight was asked to open for Vince Gill before his appearance at the Andy North & Friends benefit or as McKnight refers to as "the moment I theoretically moved to Music City". McKnight released her third album, Behind Each Kiss, with a release show to bid farewell to her hometown before attending Belmont University for it's prestigious commercial songwriting program, in which she is now an alumna.
